Description

This stack is designed to provide educators at every level with skills to use basic, intermediate, and advanced block-based coding to control educational robot movements and the ability to integrate educational robots into lesson plans designed for their own instructional contexts.

What You'll Demonstrate

You will demonstrate the use of block-based coding to program educational robots and integrate robots into lesson plans.

Who Should Apply

  • PK12 educators,
  • instructional coaches,
  • and other education support professionals.

Micro-credentials

Introducing Robot Coding

The educator will use block-based coding to apply the concepts of move, turn, and loops to control the movements of an educational robot.

Applying Intermediate Robot Coding

The educator will use block-based coding to apply the concepts of delay, conditionals, and infinite loops to control the movements of an educational robot.

Applying Advanced Robot Coding

The educator will use block-based coding to create code and solve complex challenges involving an educational robot.

Designing Lessons: Educational Robots

The educator will design a lesson plan (including well-aligned context, learning standard(s), learning objective(s), activity description, and assessment criteria) in which educational robotics is meaningfully used to promote learning.
