In the second quarter of our fourth year of existence, CarolinaCAP continued to strengthen its impact in the state of South Carolina through pivotal growth in classroom placements and candidate recruitment. Our pathway candidates now serve more than 5,000 students in the state.
Our new Residency pathway, launched in August 2023, is giving future CarolinaCAP candidates opportunities to prepare for classroom leadership through additional support in areas like co-teaching and Praxis exam preparation. Upon completion of the residency year, participants may apply for admission into the traditional CarolinaCAP pathway, where they will receive individualized support from trained CarolinaCAP coaches, complete USC coursework, earn micro-credentials, and grow in virtual learning communities. Residency participants also receive a liveable wage stipend to assist them in focusing on their work.
